Our Luxembourg clients' roof had accumulated vegetation, including moss, lichen and fungi. In addition to affecting the roof's appearance, these organisms retain moisture and contribute to the gradual deterioration of the materials.
A full maintenance of your of your service and protective treatment were planned to give the roof a new lease of life.

Initial assessment and project background

Vegetation such as moss and lichen tends to grow on roofs, particularly in damp environments. This growth can damage the roof surface, compromising its waterproofing and durability. To address this issue, our team first carried out thorough moss removal using pressure-adjusted steam cleaning. This method removes vegetation effectively without damaging the roofing materials, delivering thorough yet gentle cleaning.

Once the roof had been fully cleaned, we applied a colourless water-repellent treatment. This product acts as a protective barrier, forming a waterproof film that repels water and limits the build-up of new dirt. The treatment not only improves the roof's weather resistance but also extends its service life by protecting it against moisture and potential water ingress.
